ABOUT

Music  Productivity  Creativity

I still remember the exact moment when I realized that I wanted to spend my life making music. It was a clarity that I had never experienced before and have yet to experience again. It is that clarity that has been at the heart of my musical journey ever since. To say that I live and breathe music would be an understatement.

My name is Michelle Monette and I am a Canadian musician, singer-songwriter, and teacher. While the guitar is my main musical passion, I also sing, play drums, bass, and piano, and write and produce my own music. I have completed RCM exams for grades 5-8 on the guitar and completed the Master Guitar Certificate Program from Berklee College of Music's online extension school.
I attended the University of Ottawa where I studied classical guitar with Philip Candelaria.

I have a keen interest in productivity and habit building, and in designing a life full of musical growth and creativity. I use what I have learned over 20 years of practicing and making music to assist musicians in making time for music and creativity in their own lives.

I produce music both as a solo act, and as part of various other projects.
